User Ratings and Reviews

1 Star A quality RPG, it is not…
This is a pretty horrible RPG and I've played most of them over the years to know what to look for and not to look for. While I had played the demo and liked some of the features (i.e., side-by-side weapon and armor comparison with what you have on your character versus what you have in inventory, etc), the retail version doesn't play much better than an Alpha or a cruddy Beta build. Graphically, the game takes on a cell-shading style atmosphere which may look interesting in a screenshot, but doesn't translate to smooth game play. The camera has a low ceiling with which you can scroll out too and scrolling in doesn't provide detail as much as it obscures detail. The mouse controls are clumsy (i.e., when you click the response time is sluggish as if your character has the IQ of a rock), your character doesn't respond well to way points and tends to charge off even when you've told him which enemy to attack, the path finding is apparently MIA as instructing your character to walk from one side of the screen to the other requires mini-hop clicks to get him there, and the list goes on. I really did try to play this game for a bit considering what I had spent on it, but in the end, I uninstalled it and was left fairly disappointed. Additionally, I notice some other users had an issue with the copy protection - I can concur that this was an issue before I patched the game, but after the patch was installed it fixed the launching issues for me. Did it fix the gameplay to make it enjoyable? No, I'm afraid not.

Bottom line - looking for a more enjoyable and less frustrating RPG to play that's a recent release? Check out Titan Quest.

3 Stars Fun Game, but not spectacular
I'll keep this short.

-I found the game highly entertaining.

-I didn't experience any major bugs that I can remember.

-You're choices between Tech and Nature effect the look of Silverfall.

-Cell-shading type of graphics were well done.

-My only real complaint is that it was too easy. I was a combat spec'd Tech Troll, and Even late in the game I was one-shotting things. I was also leveling up every 15 minutes or so. At first it was cool, but after awhile it took away the excitement you normally feel when you ding in other RPGs. Basically, I would say this is a good game for the casual RPG fan, or anyone that just wants to sit down for an hour and bash things.

5 Stars Great game in the Diablo / Titan Quest genre
I played this game for weeks and never got tired of it. I will re-play it after I finish Titan Quest and expansion, and then Oblivion expansion, and then… well, I WILL play it again. I had no problems that I can remember running it or playing in on XP. Would highly recommend this game.

4 Stars Good game but needs new drivers
The game is very good the video drivers needs work. To release a game when so many people has problems its confusing and anoying but there is no standar for that sort of thing yet.

3 Stars Something to pass the time away.
This game is pretty much another 'Hack-n-Slasher' in the same tradition

as the "Gizillion" of others that most of you who have played games like

"Diablo","Dungeon Siege" and most recently "Titan's Quest".

Although there are a few features that set this one apart from the others,

it's pretty much the same formula dressed up in a different package.

Now in no way am i downing this title because I am enjoying it. I purchased this one to sort of break up the monotunous (leveling up) that i

am doing in "Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion"-(Yes,i am one of those who haven't

beat this one yet due to the sometimes boredom of the game, and believe me

I'm a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan from way back, but 'Oblivion' sometimes makes me yawn).

Back to this one though.

Graphics are well put together and so far i have not had any problems in

that department. The story although not all together original, does have a

way of keeping your interest, but the constant re-adjusting of the camera

angle that you'll find yourself doing in battle can be very tedious and

fustrating. The balance of the game can be unnerving for beginners though

because even set on the (Normal) setting you'll find yourself dying way too often than you would like especially when you're battling not only

Hordes of enemies, but also the camera as well.

Not a bad game..but not a great one either,it has it's moments though.

I recommend this one to those who are looking for some time to kill

between other titles that you are playing and need a break to keep it fresh. 3 Stars and 'Suprisingly' a higher "FUN FACTOR" than (Oblivion),

yet in no way as intresting, addictive or as engaging as the "Icewind Dale"

"Baldur's Gate" or even closer to this type of gameplay- The "Sacred" series.
